When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside-down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C. The Russians used a pencil. This is a perfect analogy for the kettlebell.

So CUTE!!!!!!!!
Hey, I found a good basic article on sumo deadlifts.
http://www.elitefts.com/documents/go_sumo.htm
sumo's work for me because I'm tall.
She could melt walls with her cuteness!
How old? I think she and my youngest are about the same age. Addie will be 3 in August.
3 april first poor girl. she is an april fools babey. LOL
Thanks for the article tto it's cool.
I re-read the article a couple of times, the part about setting the grip and keeping the chest out at all times are invaluable tips for me. My lower back has always been kinda bulletproof. At least I've never had an injury there even doing some stupid drunk stuff ( like taking a bet I could load a 400 lb spray rig on my work truck all by myself). So I have to physicaly stop myself from pulling with a round back. Plus I don't give enough thought to my grip.
I'm kind of a dip-grip-rip in one motion guy. I am probably very fortunate to not have yanked my back out before now.
I have a feeling as I gain the ability to move more weight I will also gain the ability to hurt myself more.
I'm going to give sumo a serious try tommorrow and see what I think. I'm going to re-read the article several times before I do it. LOL
Thanks again.
Oops, appears I'm going to have to start posting with my last name too, there's more than one christine in the blogosphere. :) IMHO, you gotta try sumo more than once... I really really hated pulling sumo for the first six months I did it. It just HURT my groin so bad. But I was standing too too wide and lifting with a too straight back. Once I adjusted my form I was in looooove.
