First and foremost, thank all of ya'll in blogland for your kind words they were greatly appreciated.
OK I am home at last with the kids, Barb will come up on Wednesday. This whole ordeal has taught us some valuable lessons. Like one income is not enough!
We need back up plans 'cuz next will be her mom or my parents. My folks are really sick, my dad has smoked since he was 14 and he will not stop. He has advanced lung disease and he is going to go out one gasp at a time, my mom has unregulated diabetes. And my mother-in-law has a history of cancer she is a 2 time survivor.
So we are reconsidering living in Prescott at least for a while, I am thinking about going to a school for motorcycle mechanics. I really like Harley's, I want to build myself and Barb a couple, and Barb likes them as much as I do.
It seems like a perfect fit on paper, I would go to school during the week, Barb would work weekends, then when I graduated we would kep the same schedule.
Only if I could get benifits Barb might cut back to 2 days a week wich would help her state of being burnt out immensely.
Just a plan in progress we will see how it turns out.
On the health front I was going to knock my workouts down to maintenace level for a while and whenever I got a chance to unwind I would head out to a watering hole.
WEEEEELLLL I was feeling particularly bad one day so I took my blood sugar in the morning after a 12 hour fast..............pre-diabetes, yup pre-diabetes.
So I cut out all heavily processed carbohydrates, added some really good fats in my diet ( Salmon and Avacados ) instant drop in fasting glucose and bigger drop in post meal glucose levels.
The ADA recomends a 10-20% drop in body weight to combat the effects of pre-diabetes, about another 30 lbs to loose and I should be mostly out of the woods, then I need to gradually get down to my goal weight, so dieting ( ugh ) running and lots and lots of kettlebell swings are in my immediate future!!!
