i am on the mend booooooyyyyyyyyy!!

Did some high pulls Mon. just to see where the grip is at zero pain. Today is a swing workout 2 handed so as not to tax the grip a lot.
Shelli I know you said you don't know how people get addicted to working out, but I have been missing it like a woman ( well not that much I guess ).

Whoo-hooooo! You GO boy!! I am fending off a shin-splint this week. Trying to rest & elevate it so it doesn't get any worse. I was careful with it this morning. Doing Hi/Lo Impact Aerobics on a hardwood floor is tough. But, man- I'm getting good results. :o) You'll be back to yourself in no time now...

Shin splints are the WORST, at least with my hand I was still mobile. I HATE limping around!!
At feed stores they have sections of rubber stall mat for very cheap. If you are teaching class and want to dampen the impact I would suggets getting some for your area. It might be a little akward to carry stall mat to every class if you're a student though. LOL

If I do that fast paced walk I get shin splints...especially if I'm walking on concrete and uphill.
You know, the fast paced walk...the one you always see someone doing and you can't help but chuckle.

You're right, I don't get it. Chocolate? sure. Sex? Hell yes. Addicted to sweating and making your body hurt without a feeling of fulfillment right then and there...Hell no!

AAHHH, the immediate fullfilment. You are not the only person that has said that.
I do get an immediate fullfilment, the endorphin rush.
Herion is a poor substitute for endorphins, although you take it in much higher sustained doses than the real stuff, you produce nuerotransmitters that mimic heroin when you excersize, And it is actually addictive.
Here is where the neat stuff comes in, in my psych class I read a study on people who were active vs. people who were inactive.
The people who were active felt the effect of the nuerotransmitters more strongly than the innactive people. Basically they got higher from the same amount of workload.
So this begs the question do the workout freaks workout because of nurture or nature, personality or chemistry, are we just a sum of our inborn responses, how much free will do we actually have.............

I have to agree with Shelli on this one Royce, Chocolate and sex - yes please and lots. Sweat and pain? Not so much.

Thanks Nikki, yeah the sweat and pain thing aree not my favorite deal either, just the rush afterwards.
But low rep, heavy weights with 2-3 minutes between sets focusing on compound movements and lots of food rocks. I LOVE it, I will get there soon enough.

Yeah, Royce, you are a fellow endorphin junkie. LOL Another benefit is the more I workout, the better I sleep- which is good with so much stress in my life right now. :o)

PS. I dig Shellibells new photo.

YUP the endorphins rock, as does the sleep, and everything, activities in the bedroom are much better with more stamina and energy( cheesily raising eyebrows ).
Outlook on life is 100% better when I am active.
And yes Shelli's new pic is cool, she's a cutie.
